Webber with a bizarre end to his run as he turns the engine and electrics off before making the pits, seems like a fuel-run-out test

0'

So Webber is the quickest this morning, but there have been some major changes late on just behind him with Schumacher, Barrichello and Perez coming next

1'

The chequered flags are out now and nearly all the drivers have recorded their final times of the morning session

2'

Massa has now gone past Alonso and the work done to his rear wing has clearly made the difference

3'

Button not having the best morning so far as he drops down a position to 14th

4'

Fair amount of drivers out there now, Hamilton having to deal with some traffic

5'

The rain has eased off and the cars are drying the track off pretty successfully

6'

But he didn't stay there long as he moves right the way back up to second

7'

Rosberg still out there, he set the pace very early on but is down in 13th now

8'

Webber clearly enjoying Silverstone as he did last year when he won the race

9'

Webber looks set to improve on his time and does indeed do so, going sub 1.47

10'

Hamilton and Button out there now, neither with great times as yet

11'

Massa does indeed move up the board, into fourth

12'

Webber is back out and back to the top, the first change at the top for some time, and the Australian shaves half a second off the lead time

13'

Massa back out and will be hoping to get a bit closer to his team mate's time

14'

Rain seems to have eased off and even a brief glimpse of sun

15'

Vettel goes round quickest in the second section but then heads back into the pits

16'

No movement at all at the top of the charts, Alonso is still out there trying to consolidate his time

17'

Kamui Kobayashi's team mate Perez also comes into the pits, but it looks conincidental as it wasn't a fault with the car that caused the crash

18'

THe Sauber looks a sorry sight and there's no way that will be starting on time this afternoon

19'

The sticky grass very nearly caused him to roll there and Kobayashi was lucky to avoid that

20'

He just tried to get his foot down too early coming round Woodcote and slid onto the grass then slid and spun into the wall

21'

Big crash for Kamui Kobayashi, he's walking out of his Sauber and is fine but the car is not in quite such good shape

22'

Big changes being made to Massa's Ferrari, you can see why as he is sat in eighth whilst his team mate is leading

23'

Talking of Alonso he's coming back out for another run round

24'

Conditions looking incresingly slippery out there and it could be that Alonso's time won't be improved upon this morning

25'

Vettel back out there looking to improve on fifth place

26'

Michael Schumacher just slips into the gravel again to slow him down considerably

27'

Ten minutes this rain is expected to last according to the McLaren team

28'

Michael Schumacher back out there looking to reclaim his lead

29'

And Kobayashi struggles a bit at Woodcote with some oversteer

30'

Kamui Kobayashi one of the few to be persevering out there in the rain

31'

Jaime Alguersuari up to fourth and Paul di Resta into ninth with impressive runs

32'

The rain is hammering down now and conditions deteriorating

33'

Petrov the latest to hit a puddle and skids off

34'

Webber speeding round now and takes first place, but is immediately usurped by Fernando Alonso

35'

Webber's head rest gets the sticky tape treatment and he's straight back out there

36'

Petrov has put some times on the board now, he lies in 18th place

37'

Webber's head rest gets loose and gives him a whack, it's nothing serious though

38'

Sergio Pérez goes too wide again, hitting the grass for a second time

39'

Hamilton out there in slick tyres, going around very slowly, looks a risky strategy

40'

It look very dark down there, so much that the photographer's flashes are going off

41'

Karun Chandhok has more than doubled his number of lapsn for the season so far as he has completed 11 today, maybe his luck is turning

42'

Not much movement at the top of the leaderboard with the only multi-time British Grand Prix champion in the race still ahead

43'

Vettel in the pits surrounded by a fair amount of engine smoke, worrying signs

44'

Everyone has a time on the board now, except Petrov, so expect him to clock one up soon

45'

Schumacher has improved on his time and is the only one to drop below 1.49

46'

Paul di Resta now moves up the board in his Force India to sixth

47'

It's very cautious out there as no one wants to take too many risks in the slippery conditions

48'

Michael Schumacher storms into the lead, he clearly is relishing the wet conditions as he did in Canada

49'

Vettel struggles a bit at Club corner running a bit wide, but he adjusts well

50'

Sergio Pérez finding a puddle and sliding off the track at Luffield into the gravel

51'

Webber wandering around in the pits now, he should be back later on though

52'

Kamui Kobayashi suffers a bit of rear locking and slides off, he's straight back on though

53'

Vettel and Massa replace the British drivers at the top of the charts, the German taking first place

54'

Jarno Trulli giving us his weather predictions says it might rain again in 15 minutes, lets hope he's wrong

55'

Daniel Ricciardo looking to impress out there with rumours of a move to Red Bull in the offing

56'

To put it into perspective the quickest lap time here was set by Alonso with a 1.30.87 so these times in the high 1.40s are very pedestrian indeed

57'

Vettel moves up the leaderboard, but as does Hamilton who moves first hoping to recreate his win from 2008

58'

Button complaining of understear on entrance and overstear on exit of slow corners, doesn't sound positive at all

59'

Button storms into the lead on his home track, Hulkenburg's first lap is eighth quickest

60'

Nico Hülkenberg is out testing the Force India as he did last time out in Valencia, Paul di Resta will be hoping he doesn't crash it this time

62'

Hamilton setting his first time now

63'

Button goes sub 1.51, but is still behind Webber

64'

Sébastien Buemi locks up badly and rolss off, but handily he rolls straight into the pit lane

65'

Webber the first to break 1.51 as he sets a time of 1.50.032

66'

Mark Webber now second quickest, just ahead of Michael Schumacher

67'

Fernando Alonso with an early spin on Vale corner, worrying, but good to get it out of the way at this stage

68'

Barrichello sets a time but it's behind Rosberg, as does Button

69'

Nico Rosberg the second to put a time on the board and churns out a 1.51.59

70'

Vettel's Red Bull is getting tinkered with in the pits, he'll be out shotly though it seems

71'

Jaime Alguersuari looked like he was going to register a time there but heads back in to the pits

72'

Jaime Alguersuari and Jarno Trulli having a run round, still only one man has put a time on the board as yet

73'

Jenson Button out there now, not being timed as yet though

78'

87'

World champion Sebastian Vettel hits the track, as does Pastor Maldonado

88'
