Lewis Hamilton absolutely nails his lap and clocks a 1:29.607, absolutely magnificent stuff. "Extraordinary job," coos his race engineer on the radio. Fully four tenths quicker than Nico Rosberg in second.

Vettel P3! Hamilton on pole!
Webber goes P2...
Chequered flag out, all 10 drivers on a flying lap...
The drivers back off on their out laps, trying to carve out a bit of space to give it the full gun.
Everybody is in the pits right now... but they'll be out any second.
It currently stands: 1-Hamilton, 2-Rosberg, 3-Webber, 4-Vettel, 5-Grosjean. But they'll have another lap and we can expect those times to drop further. I'd be amazed if the pole lap isn't in the 1:29s.
Hamilton goes P1 with a 1:30.096, but Alonso runs on hard tyres and goes P6 of seven to lap so far.
A disappointed Jenson Button tells Sky Sports: "You're never happy to qualify P11, but if we'd go through to Q3 we probably would have been P10. It's probably better to be P11 as it's the clean side of the track."
And Q3 is under way - a final 10-minute blast to sort out the front five rows of the grid.
Sorry, that's a lie. Jean-Eric Vergne went out after his big mistake running wide over the grass.
Red Bull had a one-two in Q2. And both Toro Rossos made it through to the top ten shootout.
Raikkonen goes 10th, which pushes Button into the drop zone. And Massa also falls in 12th place! 11-Button, 12-Massa, 13-Vergne, 14-Perez, 15-Hulkenberg, 16-Maldonado.
Button goes P10, but can anyone knock him out in the final seconds?
Perez cannot improve beyond 12th place and he's in big trouble. Meanwhile Ricciardo goes third!
Vergne runs wide and bumps across the grass - that was a cracking lap from the Toro Rosso but he just pushed a little too hard there.
P1 for Vettel, ahead of the two Mercedes. 1:30.990. Button and Massa still in danger here...
Vettel is out on medium compound tyres - he still lies in the drop zone.
The bottom six as they stand: 11-Maldonado, 12-Button, 13-Raikkonen, 14-Perez, 15-Vettel, 16-Hulkenberg.
Alonso goes P4 and Ferrari are preparing for him to go out again.
Nicio Rosberg goes P1 with a set of used medium compound tyres. Meanwhile Jenson Button goes out on soft tyres.
Mark Webber is the first man to post a timed lap, 1:31.341.
Q2 is under way - it's 15 minutes to whittle the field down by another six. This should be interesting given the problems Ferrari had in Q1. They will probably have to use super-softs to get into Q3.
Jenson Button tells his team: "There's quite a lot of wind out here, surprisingly so."
The drivers to exit in Q1: 17-Bottas, 18-Gutierrez, 19-Pic, 20-Bianchi, 21-Van der Garde, 22-Chilton
Pastor Maldonado leapfrogs his team-mate Bottas to escape the bottom six. Massa and Alonso survive by the skin of their teeth in 14th and 15th.
Massa climbs to 14th as the chequered flag waves, he's OK.
Can Felipe Massa stave off an embarrassing Q1 exit - we drive on board with the Brazilian who is in touch with the leaders after the first sector...
With one more set of flying laps to go, the bottom six are 17-Bottas, 18-Massa, 19-Pic, 20-Bianchi, 21-Chilton, No time-Van der Garde.
Hamilton, Rosberg and Raikkonen return to the pits, they are safe.
Sebastian Vettel comes round in P4, nearly a second off the pace but it will be enough to take him into Q2 so that's fine.
Alonso throws his Ferrari sideways over the kerb. It certainly looks good but it's not the fastest way round...
Four drivers have not yet set rubber on tarmac - Vettel, Webber, Button, Van der Garde.
And with that, Lewis Hamilton goes P1 with a 1:30.995, and Nico Rosberg is now second. That should be absolutely fine.
Grosjean remains P1 having improved his time to 1:31.964.
Gianluca Vialli is among the VIPs in attendance - the Italian is a guest of Ferrari, logicallu enough.
Felipe Massa lost over an hour of track time yesterday when he crashed coming out of Stowe corner. The Brazilian is 12th at the moment and we have just seen him run wide. I'm sure he'll find a way into the top 10 but he's not on great form.
Weather conditions are so much better than this time yesterday. Air temperature 18C, track temperature 29C, and there's a brisk 5.7mps (15mph) wind coming in from the north west.
None of the leading contenders are out yet - Sebastien Grosjean leads the way with a 1:32.586.
And we're under way! Q1 is a 20-minute session, at the end of which the six slowest drivers are eliminated.
