The Lotuses seem to be a little off the pace, Grosjean 6th and Raikkonen 7th.
Massa runs wide at turn seven and takes a trip across the grass.
Less than three tenths between the top three. It's going to be a tight qualifying battle, one would think.
Alonso goes quickest with a 1:14.448.
Most drivers will finish the session on super softs as they complete final preparations before qualifying.
Alonso dons the super soft compound tyres and joins his team-mate out on the circuit.
A bit of a lull in the action with just Vettel, Ricciardo and Massa out.
Vettel could be looking in good shape for qualifying after a quick final sector, where the Renault power cars have usually struggled. And that on the soft compound. It could be a great scrap.
Vettel now goes quickest with a 1:14.711 but is running on the yellow soft compound still.
Senna, also on the super softs, goes sixth.
Grosjean is now third quickest on the super softs.
Mechanics are working on the front suspension of Vettel’s car. He has managed just eight laps so far.
The Williams drivers are both running the new curved rear wing and are 10th and 12th. Grosjean is out on the super softs.
Although the top times have been set on the soft compound tyres, we should see the super softs before the end of the session and the times tumble further.
The times are understandably already quicker than yesterday in the hotter conditions.
After his heroics of yesterday, Lewis Hamilton is again the quickest man on the circuit with a 1:14.712.
Jean-Eric Vergne: “I made a mistake and pushed it too hard into the first corner and touched the grass. I just lost the car but there is not too much damage.”
Everyone so far has been running on the soft compound tyres.
Massa has a bit of a wobble into the final chicane as Alonso leap frogs him to second quickest.
He heads the times from Massa, Grosjean and Schumacher.
Vettel is now the fastest man on the circuit with a 1:15.022.
Ferrari are running their new exhaust system today and for the remainder of the weekend as Massa laps the circuit. Alonso has only completed two laps.
Vergne slid wide, touched the grass and lost control.
The yellow flags are out as they remove the Toro Rosso from the circuit.
A very unusual place to go off the circuit. Session over for the Frenchman.
Jean-Eric Vergne has gone off at the first corner and planted his Toro Rosso straight into the tyre barrier. He climbs out.
Kobayashi moves back to the top of the time sheets but expect them to tumble as the session goes on.
Button says he is really struggling with front end grip.
The hotter temperatures today should better suit the Lotus team, who were first to scrub their super soft tyres in yesterday’s cooler conditions.
Button goes faster still with a 1:16.297 ahead of Raikkonen and Kobayashi.
Button follows the Sauber with a 1:19.008 on the yellow soft compound tyre.
Kobayashi sets the first time of the morning, a 1:17.376. Last year’s quickest FP3 time was a 1:13.3.
Jenson Button is also out on the circuit.
Kobayashi has ventured out onto the circuit again.
The ambient temperature is 23 degrees Celsius and the track temperature 28.
The track remains open but every car is currently back in their respective garages.
Rosberg has made Q3 in every session this season but his team will have to work hard now to get him there again.
This would be a big setback for Rosberg if the problem is serious enough to force him out of the session.
Nico Rosberg has parked up on the exit to turn seven. Marshals are tending to his car and Rosberg has reported a problem with a slipping clutch.
Despite their heavy crashes that brought out the red flags yesterday, Kovalainen and Senna’s cars are up and running.
Every car has now completed an installation lap.
Heikki Kovalainen leads a gaggle of cars out. Unsurprisingly after his woes of yesterday, Jenson Button is also out immediately.
The track is bathed in glorious sunshine and higher temperatures after the light drizzle of yesterday.
The pitlane is open and we’re underway here.
The hour long practice session will allow teams and drivers to make vital last minute set-up adjustments before the all important qualifying session at 18.00 BST.
Jenson Button managed limited running yesterday after an oil leak in FP1 curtailed his session. He managed only 12 laps before the problem struck and despite removing and replacing a valve on the gearbox, the problem persisted. It required his mechanics to take the gearbox out yet again and they finally rectified the problem to allow him 18 minutes running at the end of FP2.
Lewis Hamilton looked to have his McLaren beautifully dialled into the circuit yesterday as he finished top of both sessions on Friday.
