The Frenchman – born in Maidstone, Kent – produced the best run of the final to score 84.83 and snap Kingsbury's victorious run that stretches back to March of last year and encompasses the first three mogul events of this season.
Second on the day was Sweden's Walter Wallberg with 81.47 and Matt Graham of Australia was third with 80.94.
Kingsbury meanwhile could only manage fifth with a 72.93 after an error on the high jump but the Canadian remains top of the overall and discipline standings – Cavet is second in both with Wallberg third.
On the women's side Jakara Anthony topped the podium with a 78.76, overall and discipline standings leader Perrine Laffont was second with 74.94.
USA's Tess Johnson was third while her compatriot Jaelin Kauf – who is second overall with Anthony now up to third – just missed out in fourth.
Reigning Olympic champion Laffont remains clear atop the pile, however, after her fifth consecutive podium of the season.
