NHL roundup: Dunn, Blues top Leafs in OT

Louis escaped with a 2-1 victory over the host
Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night.

Carter Hutton made 30 saves for the Blues, the biggest coming just before the
winning goal when he denied William Nylander on a breakaway.

Soon after, Dunn zipped away from his own zone with the puck to create a
two-on-one rush. He elected to shoot instead of passing and cleanly beat
Toronto goalie Frederik Andersen on the blocker side at 1:43 for his fourth
goal of the season.

The win snaps a three-game losing streak for St. Louis, which tied the game on
an Alexander Steen goal with 57 seconds left in regulation. Toronto's Connor
Brown scored a short-handed goal midway through the third period.

Devils 4, Islanders 1

Damon Severson scored twice in a span of 1:26 in the second period as New
Jersey ended a six-game losing streak with a 4-1 win at New York.

Kyle Palmieri and Taylor Hall also scored for the Devils, who netted the final
four goals to earn their first win since Dec. 27. New Jersey went 0-3-3 during
its skid.

New Jersey goalie Keith Kinkaid, who drew the start when Cory Schneider was
scratched due to illness, recorded 25 saves.

Stars 4, Red Wings 2

Jason Spezza scored two power-play goals and Dallas won for the eighth time in
11 games by downing host Detroit.

Radek Faksa and Martin Hanzal also scored for the Stars, while John Klingberg
and Alexander Radulov contributed two assists apiece. Ben Bishop stopped 13
shots in the victory.

Andreas Athanasiou had a goal for Detroit and assisted on Trevor Daley's goal.

Rangers 5, Flyers 1

Rick Nash scored two goals and New York had little trouble dispatching
visiting Philadelphia.

J.T. Miller, Paul Carey and Michael Grabner also scored for the Rangers, who
had struggled mightily in their previous two home games, a 5-2 loss to Chicago
on Jan. 3 and a 7-2 loss to the New York Islanders on Saturday.

The Rangers are 4-5-2 over their last 11 games.
