A 12-strong squad of competitors will travel to Tel Aviv, including current world number three Powell, as preparations ramp up ahead of June’s World Championships in Minsk.
Powell, a -78kg bronze medallist at last season's Budapest Grand Prix, is targeting a return to form that saw her clinch World and European Championship bronze medals in 2017.
Meanwhile, 2018 world silver medallist Smythe-Davis takes on the -57kg event, while Glasgow Commonwealth podium maker Kim Renicks is set to do battle in the -48kg competition.
Just three men will make the trip to Israel, including Commonwealth champion Ashley McKenzie, 21-year-old Scottish Open champion Eric Ham and reigning British -90kg champion Frazer Chamberlain.
