The Germans have had a season to savour and the world champions weren't done yet, recording their ninth win of the campaign and 25th in their career in front of their home fans.
Eggert and Benecken posted the two fastest time to finish in 1:23.768 minutes, 0.358 ahead of Americans Matt Mortensen and Jayson Terdiman.
There was more for the home crowd to celebrate as Germans Robin Johannes Gueke and David Gamm were third, but there was no doubting who the star of the show were.
Including this victory in Altenberg, Eggert and Benecken remain unbeaten in all 12 World Cup events in the final season before the Olympics, with this race the 20th win in succession for the German paor.
Reigning Olympic champions Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt of Germany, who with 38 wins hold the record for the most individual victories in the doubles World Cup, messed up their start on the first run and had to make do with 13th place.
In the final World Cup rankings Eggert and Benecken finished first with 1140 points, followed by Wendl and Arlt on 888 while Mortensen and Terdiman managed to squeeze past Geueke and Gamm into third place on 674.
