A cracking race, and congratulations to Toni Elias who has dominated this season. We're back at 09:00 UK time, when we may very well see another world champion crowned in the full MotoGP race.

WIN!!

ROLFO WINS BY THE TINIEST MARGIN!! Great finish!! Iannone takes third place but TONY ELIAS IS MOTO2 CHAMPION!!

19/19

Rolfo is riding a defensive line and trying to make his bike as wide as possible...

19/19

Last lap, and it's up for grabs between the front two! You cannot put a cigarette paper between Rolfo and De Angelis going into the first corner!

18/19

Two laps to go, and Rolfo leads by 0.4 from De Angelis, with Iannone and Elias still duking it out for that final podium position. De Angelis clocks his fastest lap of the race.

17/19

Elias has another go at Iannone, but he cannot make it stick - he's being understandably cautious but he will desperately want a podium finish.

16/19

Elias makes a move on Iannone... they're side by side and the Italian cuts him off!

16/19

Rolfo leads by almost a second from De Angelis, with Iannone completing an all-Italian top three. Elias comfortable in fourth.

15/19

Talmasci has crashed from 11th place. He is fine and tries to rejoin the race.

15/19

Redding comes into the pits and he has trouble getting off his bike - he's staggering, and the heat appears to have got to him, not a mechanical problem.

14/19

Curtains for Scott Redding, I'm afraid - he has dropped to 22nd and his Marc VDS Racing Suter is done for.

14/19

Collision between Simone Corsi and Jonny Hernandez! The latter rider has a massive wobble but manages to stay on board.

13/19

Scott Redding has fallen way back, and is now in ninth place? Does he have a problem or has he made a mistake? He lost four seconds on the last lap.

12/19

Iannone runs wide and the charging Roby Rolfo takes the race lead!

11/19

Elias has dropped back to fourth place behind De Angelis and Rolfo. Will he fight back or settle for relative safety?

10/19

We have a five-man leading pack - Iannone, Elias, De Angelis, Redding, Rolfo.

10/19

Yuki Takahashi has had a spill and the marshals try to get him back on the black stuff.

9/19

Amazing drama here, the consequence of which is that Andrea Iannone is a fairly comfortable leader. Elias second, and you would imagine he'll settle for that. Simon is way down in 30th and Elias is the champion.

8/19

DOWN GOES LUTHI!! He loses the back end on a high-speed left-hander and just slides out of the race! A real pity for the Swiss, who has enjoying a superb race.

8/19

Simon is down! What a dreadful race this has been for the Spaniard! He picks his bike out of the gravel and restarts, but it's all over for him. He had just set the fastest lap, so he was obviously pushing too hard.

8/19

How they stand: 1-Iannone, 2-Luthi, 3-Elias, 4-Redding, 5-De Angelis, 6-Rolfo, 7-Simon, 8-Aegerter, 9-Abraham, 10-Bradl.

7/19

The replay of that Simon incident shows he actually ran into the back of Elias and nudged the champion-elect - a self-inflicted wound there.

7/19

Iannone, Luthi and Elias can still be covered by the average picnic rug - less than half a second separating the front three.

6/19

Simon has a problem! He grinds to a halt, before kicking his bike back into gear. What has happened there? He has dropped all the way down into 10th place, and that is surely championship over!

5/19

Andrea Iannone slides underneath Luthi and the Italian leads the race. Superb performance from him after qualifying in just sixth.

4/19

1-Luthi, 2-Elias, 3-Iannone, 4-Redding, 5-Simon, 6-Rolfo - and the latter rider sets the fastest lap of the race, a 2:09.241.

3/19

Look at Scott Redding! He is up to third and challenging Elias. Tremendous stuff from the Briton here. Thomas Luthi is back in the lead.

2/19

The leading two have been caught and Iannone is really charging. Scott Redding also on the charge in fourth.

2/19

Tremendous, frantic action here! It's Elias from Luthi, with Andrea Iannone in third. Julian Simon is down in sixth, it transpires.

1/19

Luthi and Elias are cat and mouse at the front - Elias won't take too many risks. A top-nine finish will guarantee him the championship.

1/19

GO!!! Luthi takes the lead and goes sideways into the first corner! Spectacular move from the Swiss! He leads! And Dominique Aegerter is up to fourth from 11th on the grid. Where is thwe polesitter Julian Simon?

-

That's the formation lap done with - we are ready to go!

-

It is a warm afternoon - air temperature 33C, with the track temperature up to 44C.

-

Grid: 1-Julian Simon, 2-Alex De Angelis, 3-Thomas Luthi, 4-Toni Elias, 5-Roberto Rolfo, 6-Andrea Iannone, 7-Karel Abraham, 8-Scott Redding, 9-Michael Randseder, 10-Alex Debon, 11-Dominique Aegerter, 12-Claudio Corti. 39 riders on the grid.
