FOUR-SOME STUFF!
Gold looks a certainty now after Eve Muirhead's final stone of End 7 left all 4 of the GB stones in the house with Japan nowhere to be seen. An 8-2 lead is surely unassailable. Surely!

AUSTRIA WIN THE MIXED TEAM PARALLEL
Another blistering run for Stefan Brennsteiner (23.72) and then Emma Aicher's fall in run 3 left Alexander Schmid needing a win in under Brennsteiner's but though he won in 23.87 it was not enough. So Austria take gold, Germany silver and Norway third.

SHIFFRIN DENIED BRONZE
Norway beat United States with Mikaela Shiffrin and Tommy Ford getting beaten in their runs so despite another superb final run from River Radamus the Scandinavians take bronze. Mikaela Shiffrin is denied a medal for the sixth time in her six events.

AS YOU WERE
Heat 3 is over in the bobsleigh and there has been no movement in the main places. Francisco Friedrich's crew has the lead over Johannes Lochner's charges by 0.20 seconds with the field another 0.45 seconds back. With Brad Hall's team 0.37 seconds from fifth and 0.25 seconds ahead of seventh, it seems unlikely there will be change when Heat 4 begins at 3.20, with just the top 20 sleds involved.

BRONZE OR BUST FOR SHIFFRIN
Mikaela Shiffrin lost the first run and though River Radamus won the second run going under 24 seconds, Alexander Schmid beat Tommy Ford by 0.84 seconds to put Germany into the final against Austria.
The United States will now face Switzerland in the bronze medal match-up.

THREE-POINT LEAD AT HALFWAY MARK
Whisper it softly but it looks like Team GB are heading for victory in the Women's Curling. Great work from Vicky Wright in particular set up a steal to extend their lead to 4-1 after five ends.

SOLID RUN BUT STAY IN SIXTH
Hall's men had another good start but could not make up any time on those in front of them, with the top six staying in the same order.

HALL OR NOTHING!
Here we go with Brad Hall's men, can they make any inroads into the top five. The top two look out of range but maybe they can close in on Justin Kripps' Canadian outfit.

JAPAN PULL ONE BACK
Team GB's lead is halved after End 2 with Japan having the nearest stone to the button.
