But that means there are still three spots left on the final table that will have a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000.
First a quick reminder: What is the Race Trophy?
fun.PokerRoom.com and the FIA WTCC (World Touring Car Championship) have got together to create a new type of tournament in the world of poker.
Poker Race Trophy
More on the Trophy
It's not your run-of-the-mill poker tournament where players are forced into a confining casino or tournament room to play for the prize pool. This tournament is played out at a seasonal race of the FIA WTCC.
Anybody can qualify for a Poker Race Trophy semi-final thanks to the online freerolls. The first step is to get to one of the semis and then the winners of those events will face off at the grand finale in Vienna on 29th November, where a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 awaits.
It's not just the money up from grabs though. Those who qualify for the semi-finals get to experience the celebrity lifestyle as they gain unrestricted access to the racetrack while being treated like royalty all weekend long.
The highlight at the races will be the poker game itself, with each semi being broadcast on Eurosport in over 59 countries. (Broadcast from Brno is coming soon on 4th July 21:30 BST
So what happened in Brno?
His name is Puggy82, he's from Edinburgh, Scotland, he is 25 years old and is already "in the money" after earning at least $10,000 for making the final table.
Puggy82 is the third player to qualify for the grand finale and the beaming grin of this young yet experienced poker player just wouldn't fade during his triumphant weekend in the Czech Republic.
After winning the poker semi-final at the WTCC racing weekend in Brno, he moved proudly through the pit lane under the floodlights of the cameras. After chatting with several WTCC drivers such as Robert Huff and James Thompson he was allowed to open the race in the leading car.
When Puggy82, the reigning Miss Austria, and Robert Huff posed together for a spontaneous photo op, the crowd of reporters came rushing in, almost blocking the way for the WTCC racers.
Players from all walks of life
The eight qualifying players at the fun.PokerRoom.com Race Trophy event in Brno couldn't have been any more diverse: a British army officer, a budding mathematics teacher from Germany, and a Danish caretaker were amongst the competitors.
Other contenders included two students, who both devote a great deal of spare time to poker, and the absolute icon of the Poker Race Trophy: Marky_Crash, who has now qualified twice for a semi-final.
The starting field was as follows: MadEngine (Canada), Marky_Crash (Scotland), Llamahead x (England), Sir Rugren (Denmark), croywhale (England), starsplash83 (Germany), kmcdaddy (Norway) and the winner, Puggy82.
Despite the presence of the cameras the poker players managed to act like absolute poker pros.
Thanks to their experience and expertise, this evening became an exciting poker spectacle.
After the unfortunate exit of Marky_Crash in third, it came down to Puggy82 and MadEngine to face off in the heads-up.
Puggy82 had K5 on his game winning hand. 444 dropped on the flop, but a 5 on the turn gave the young Scot a full house - opening the door to the $500.000 final in Vienna.
The qualifiers for the Poker Race Trophy weekend in Brands Hatch will continue until 9th July. While the qualifiers for Oschersleben and Monza will also be starting soon. But you'd better step on the gas if you want to gain one of the last three seats at the $500,000 final table.
Brands Hatch: until 9th July
Oschersleben: 10th July until 14th August
Monza: 14th August until 18th September
