England lose by a point to All Blacks after late TMO intervention

England lost by a point to New Zealand at Twickenham after a late intervention by the TMO ruled out a try for Sam Underhill.
With the home side having raced into a 15-0 lead in the first half during rainy conditions, after tries from Chris Ashton and Dylan Hartley, they found themselves 16-15 down going into the final 20 minutes with Damian McKenzie scoring a try and Beauden Barrett adding two penalties, a drop goal and conversion.
But England felt they had won it at the death, with Underhill racing to touch down in the corner on 75 minutes after a charge down from Courtney Lawes, only for a video review to rule out the try for offside on the part of the second row.
A week ago England got the right side of a late TMO call when they beat South Africa 12-11 but this time Lawes was adjudged to have moved a fraction too quickly and the All Blacks managed to play out the remainder safely.
"It comes right down to the wire, that’s what you want in Test matches and why I always love coming to Twickenham," said New Zealand captain Kieran Read.
The victory makes it 15 wins in 16 matches for New Zealand against England.
