Toulon snatched a Top 14 play-off place with a 25-22 home victory over defending champions Toulouse.

Jonny Wilkinson kicked two conversions and two penalties while English compatriot Delon Armitage ran over a try. Alexis Palisson and Eifion Lewis-Roberts also scored for Toulon, with Vincent Clerc replying and Lionel Beauxis kicking six attempts.

However Toulouse's losing bonus point allowed them to remain top as Clermont lost 30-19 at Castres.

The two sides are well clear of the rest with just one more regular season round of matches remaining.

Racing beat Stade 19-13 to book their play-off spot alongside Castres. Stade had been in the fight for the coveted spots before the game.

Brive went down 23-9 to Bordeaux-Bègles and look likely to get relegated.
