Germany claim mixed team ski jumping gold

Germany claimed mixed team ski jumping gold in Seefeld as Katharina Althaus and Karl Geiger helped deliver on their promise as favourites.

Markus Eisenbichler and Juliane Seyfarth completed the line-up at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Austria, with Althaus leading out with a 107.5 metre jump.

Germany briefly fell behind Austria but Geiger then helped reclaim the lead, with second jumps from Eisenbichler and Seyfarth then opening up a 15.6 point gap on the Austrians.

Geiger then leaped 107m with his final jump to see off Austria's challenge, with Norway finishing third to claim bronze.
