Iraschko-Stolz takes gold on ski jumping comeback

Daniela Iraschko-Stolz ended Maren Lundby's run of victories on Sunday with a win in the ski jumping World Cup event in Slovenia.

Completing her comeback from injury in impressive style, the Austrian achieved her 13th World Cup success with a first jump of 89 metres and a second of 89.5 in Ljubno.
The Olympic silver medallist accrued 262.4 points with Lundby second on 260.6, ending her streak of six consecutive wins.
Iraschko-Stolz's win increases the excitement ahead of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in a fortnight's time, with the 34-year-old expected to battle it out with Norway's in-form Lundby.
Iraschko-Stolz will be all the more pleased with the victory after delivering on her comeback appearance following knee surgery in November.
Katharina Althaus of Germany mustered leaps of 89 and 87.5 metres to finish third on the podium, whilst Japan's Sara Takanashi came in fourth place.
The World Cup stage in Hinzenbach, Austria, has been cancelled due to insufficient snow.
