Kobayashi glides to victory in Oberstdorf

Ryoyu Kobayashi glided to a dramatic Ski Jumping victory at the first Four Hills event in Oberstdorf.
World Cup leader Kobayashi claimed a narrow victory over the rest of the field after registering a 126.5m second jump to give him a winning total of 282.3.
The 22-year-old became the first Japanese jumper to claim victory since 2001 with Germany’s Markus Eisenbichler finishing second in front of his home crowd with a score of 281.9.
Austria’s Stefan Kraft completed the podium with a total of 280.5 while Poland’s Kamil Stoch, Olympic champion in PyeongChang on the big jump, settled for eighth.
