Imperious Ryoyu Kobayashi equalled an arena record en route to a seventh straight Ski Jumping World Cup victory.

The Japanese sensation’s second jump of 136m equalled four-time world champion Adam Malysz’s effort that has stood for 16 years in Val di Fiemme, Italy.

Kobayashi’s superb form, that saw him become only the third man to complete a clean sweep at Four Hills last week, shows no signs of letting up and he was a comfortable victor in the Dolomites.

He leapt a sensational 135m in the first round, totalling 153.3 points after the judges’ verdict, putting him 10 metres clear of the field.

And a 136m effort left him on a total of 315 points, streets ahead of second-placed Pole Dawid Kubacki on 288.5.

Kubacki’s fellow countryman Kamil Stoch claimed bronze, his third podium finish of the 2018/19 World Cup.

The double-header over Trampolino Guiseppe Dal Ben continues on Sunday night.
