Kubacki stunned the field when going from 27th after the first jump to top the rankings following his second jump, and he watched on as the remaining competitors fell short in tricky conditions.

The heavy snow certainly played its part as Kubacki’s tally of 218.3pts could not be bettered, with his compatriot Kubacki finishing second with 215.5pts.
Stefan Kraft took bronze (214.8pts), edging out fellow Austrian Philipp Aschenwald by just 0.3pts.
Japan’s Ryoyo Kobayashi was last down, and held a 19-point advantage over Kubacki before his jump, but fell way short to ultimately finish 14th.
