Stuart Bingham hit a glorious 147 break on his way to the last 16 of the China Open, overcoming a spirited Peter Ebdon 6-3 on Wednesday.

Ebdon put him under pressure by winning three sraight frames after losing the opening three to level, but the match turned round again in frame seven, when Bingham made a terrific maximum break.
It is the 151st in world snooker history - and the maximum break in the seventh frame means that the 42-year-old stands to earn £27,000 should no one else manage to achieve the same feat.
Last year, Ronnie O'Sullivan secured a 147 only for Bingham to do likewise a day later.
Bingham was looking for something to ignite his charge, and he found it in spectacular fashion, clenching his fist after sinking the final black to produce the fifth maximum break of his career in a very profitable frame.
The world No 12 moved three clear on the standings for centry breaks among those who have competed at the China Open, with his 147 on Wednesday his fourth tonne at the event.
Bingham will now face Rod Lawler for a place in the quarter-finals in Beijing after he overcame world number eight Kyren Wilson 6-4.

Neil Robertson avoided becoming the latest big-name casualty at the China Open as he overturned a two-frame deficit to beat Mei Xiwen.
The Australian looked set to join Mark Selby, John Higgins, Judd Trump and Mark Williams in crashing out of the tournament, but he won the final five frames to secure a 6-3 win.
A tournament-high knock of 141 sparked the comeback, before a brilliant clearance in the seventh frame saw him take the lead as he stormed through to the third round.

"At 3-1 down I was thinking about booking the next flight home,” Robertson told World Snooker. “After the interval I was aggressive and played very well. I made a ridiculous clearance to go 4-3 up, that was the best clearance I have made this season.
"This has been my best season and I am in the best form of my career at the moment, I am very proud to have reached the last three finals. I will enjoy the rest of this week and everything is good looking ahead of the World Championship.
"A lot of players are not sleeping well here. I have been waking up at 10.30pm and trying to work out what time zone I am on. I just sleep when I’m tired and I’m smashing a large Soya Latte at Starbucks before every match, which seems to be working."
Ali Carter will have to qualify for the World Championship next week after throwing away a 3-1 lead in a 6-4 defeat to Sam Craigie. Ken Doherty, vanquisher of Williams on Tuesday, lost 6-1 to Ricky Walden.
Liang Wenbo completed the last 16 line-up at 11.45pm local time after a thrilling 6-5 win over Craig Steadman.
