Former world number one Neil Robertson has been defeated in the first round of the Riga Masters by relative unknown Lukas Kleckers.
Robertson, currently ranked seventh in the world, went into the tournament as the defending champion, but could not hold off Kleckers in what was only the German's second professional match.
Kleckers broke with 82 points - his second highest break of the match - in the first frame, only to be answered by Robertson with the sole century of the match, breaking for 137.
Taking the lead in the third frame, the pair were level after the Australian fluffed his lines in sixth frame, but Kleckers went on to secure victory with his biggest break of the night on 83, winning the seventh frame 84-0.
Kleckers will meet with Jack Lisowski in the second round.
