Ronnie O'Sullivan edged past John Higgins 4-3 in an enthralling encounter to reach the English Open quarter-finals.
Having breezed past Zhang Yong 4-1 earlier in the day - which featured a bizarre moment with an intruder - O'Sullivan continued his fine form in Barnsley as he overcame the four-time world champion with a final-frame break of 91.
Higgins led the tie three times, opening up with an impressive 138, but O'Sullivan responded superbly each time he trailed by a frame before clinching the decider.
There were remarkable scenes earlier in the day as O'Sullivan's match against Yong ended with a woman from the crowd getting past security and onto the table.
O'Sullivan responded in good spirit, allowing the woman to have a go at potting the last black, which she missed on two occasions.
"I didn’t know what she was doing first. But she said to me I’m just having a jog," said O'Sullivan. "I said to her 'well go on then have a jog then'. And you might as well have a shot while you’re at it'. I really wanted her to pot it."
Meanwhile, Judd Trump was knocked out by fellow Englishman Jack Lisowski, who won the final two frames to clinch it 4-3.
Elsewhere, Neil Robertson beat Aditya Mehta 4-1 to reach the quarters, while Shaun Murphy was dumped out 4-1 by Swiss Alexander Ursenbacher.
