Kyren Wilson overcame an out-of-sorts Stephen Maguire 6-1 to progress to the final of the German Masters, where he will face David Gilbert at the Tempodrom in Berlin.
Wilson, the 2018 Paul Hunter Classic winner, produced a shot-making masterclass - including four half-centuries - on his way to a second ranking final of the season but was offered little resistance by former UK Championship winner Maguire.
The 27-year-old Wilson raced into a three-frame lead courtesy of runs of 67 and 51 before a costly miss from Maguire in frame four allowed Wilson to take a four-frame advantage to the mid-session interval.
Five-time ranking winner Maguire emerged from the interval with his composure restored to cut the arrears but another costly miss in frame six allowed Wilson in, who produced the clearance of the tournament, a 63, to put himself within one frame of the final.
It took three visits but another fine clearance, this time of 62, secured Wilson his spot in Sunday’s final, where he will face Gilbert after he beat Duane Jones 6-1 in the afternoon semi-final.
