It means he is the second most prolific second ranking event winner of all time, six behind the retired Stephen Hendry's haul of 36, but one clear of John Higgins on 29.
O'Sullivan moved 7-0 ahead with breaks of 91, 76, 81, 56 and 70 before Trump halted the bleeding with a run of 102.
He edged the next to trail 7-2, but O'Sullivan resumed for the second session with a knock of 108 giving him an 8-2 advantage before Trump's ran in 63 for a third and last frame of the match.
The former UK champion made 63 in the 11th frame, but O'Sullivan pinched it on the black before edging the 13th frame for a 10-3 victory.
He collects a cheque for £150,000 after winning his second ranking tournament of the season following his success at the English Open in Barnsley.
"My mind has been as good as it has ever been this week," said O'Sullivan. "There were a few moments where it got a big edgy but I managed to think my way through. I wasn’t at my best today but mentally I was in the right place.
“I have had a fantastic last four weeks. I feel a bit tired but I don’t mind that if it means winning tournaments. I’ve got my titles in the bank and I can build on that."
