Snooker news - Judd Trump shocks Mark Selby to move into Masters semi-final

Judd Trump stunned world number one Mark Selby 6-2 in the Masters quarter-final, securing a place in the final four against Neil Robertson.

The first frame took almost three-quarters of an hour as both players struggled to build breaks - but after that Trump began to excel, hitting great safety shots to pin Selby back in the opening trio of frames.
He notched a 101 break in the fifth frame to take his lead to 4-1.
Selby showed glimmers of a comeback in the seventh, when a foul from Trump handed him the momentum and the frame.
He then took the lead in the eighth but missed a red, giving Trump control of the table once again, but the nerves began to tell on both players as they exchanged snookers.
Selby looked like he might have the opportunity to clear when he potted the brown, but he left himself in an awkward position to pot the blue, and ended up with a foul, meaning that Trump finished it off.
In the second semi-final, Barry Hawkins started the best, taking a two-frame advantage within the first 40 minutes, with breaks for 64 and 72, but Neil Robertson came back at him with a break of 73 to get on the board.
The Australian then won the next three frames to move to a 4-2 lead, and was within one of wrapping up the match when Hawkins conceded frame number seven.
But Hawkins reduced the deficit with the next one, closing the gap to 5-3.
Robertson was not to be denied, though, taking the ninth to finish his 6-3 victory.
