Ronnie O'Sullivan eases into fourth round with Jimmy White victory

It wasn't the ruthless O'Sullivan that fans have seen in some recent best-of-11 matches but 'The Rocket' still produced some incredible shots to keep White in his seat for most of the match.

O'Sullivan also benefited from a number of gifts from White on his birthday, as his opponent failed to take advantage of a couple of promising positions.

In truth O'Sullivan was rarely out of second gear as he continued his quest to make it six UK Championship titles.

He will now face Akani Songsermsawad in the fourth round.

Having taken the first frame O'Sullivan was pegged back as White fought back admirably with the match's first half-century break.

However, O'Sullivan knocked in a 132 followed by a 64 and a 71 to take the match beyond White.
