129 players are set to make up the World Snooker Tour professional circuit ahead of the first ranking event of the new season at the Championship League in Leicester. Ronnie O'Sullivan begins the new campaign as World No. 1 with Egypt's Mostafa Dorgham claiming the final place on tour courtesy of a 5-2 win over compatriot Mohamed Khairy in the African Championship final in Morocco.

The 2023/24 World Snooker season begins later this month with the first ranking event of the season at the Championship League in Leicester's Morningside Arena staged between Monday 26 June and Friday 21 July.
129 players are set to have playing rights for the new campaign with Mostafa Dorgham claiming the final two-year tour card on Wednesday courtesy of a 5-2 win over Mohamed Khairy in an all-Egyptian final at the African Championship in Casablanca.
The German city of Nuremberg is due to hold its first European Masters in August with Kyren Wilson defending his title, before the British Open is hosted by Cheltenham in late September.
There are 16 ranking events provisionally pencilled in ahead of the 2023/24 campaign and six non-ranking tournaments, including the Champion of Champions, the Masters and Six-Red World Championship.
The elite non-ranking Shanghai Masters (September) and the Wuhan Open (October) and International Championship (November) – both enjoying full ranking status – will be the first events to be held in the China since 2019 due to the global pandemic.
The World Mixed Doubles and Tour Championship will be held at Manchester Central in late Match and early April, before the traditional season-ending 48th World Championship at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
