Great Britain’s Katie Ormerod won silver at the slopestyle Europa Cup in Livigno as she took part in her first competition since injury.
The 21-year-old broke her heel on the eve of the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang and only retuned to the slopes this February, a year on from the injury.
The meet in Italy was her first competitive start and she managed to take silver with a score of 74.33 points, finishing behind Loranne Smans of Belgium.
Ormerod wrote on social media afterwards that she “couldn’t be happier to be back on the podium”.
Ormerod will now have her sights set on building up her form and fitness ahead of the new World Cup season in the winter.
Her British team-mate Matt McCormick took bronze in the men’s event.
