Mathies and Kummer take World Cup golds in Winterberg

Austrian Lukas Mathies took his first parallel slalom World Cup gold medal in five years as he raced to victory in Winterberg.

The snowboarder beat German Stefan Baumeister in the big final to pick up 1000 race points, leaving him fifth in the World Cup standings.

In the small final in was an all-Slovenian affair with Zan Kosir beating compatriot Tim Mastnak to take the final podium spot.

Meanwhile Switzerland's Patrizia Kummer was the winner in the women's event as she beat Germany's Selina Joerg in the final.

It was another Swiss taking the bronze medal as Ladina Jenny beat Austria's Daniela Ulbing in the small final in Germany.
