So far this season it's been Iwabuchi's teammate Miyabi Onitsuka who has been grabbing the headlines for Japan with second-place finishes in the last two competitions in Beijing and Monchengladbach.
However with Onitsuka absent, along with World Cup leader Anna Gasser, Iwabuchi made the most of the opportunity to clinch top spot and her first podium finish of the season.

That was comfortably clear of American Julia Marino in second on 160.25 while Norway's Silje Norendal completed the top three with 156.75.
The latter was the biggest winner in the World Cup standings, collecting 600 points to move up to fifth on 1260.00 points, while Gasser still leads on 2000.
Meanwhile in the men's competition it was Roisland who triumphed ahead of the chasing American pack.
The Norwegian totalled 182.75 from his best two efforts, enough to take the win ahead of Chris Corning (177.25), Chandler Hunt (159.00) and Ryan Stassel (154.50.)
Corning does however move into the Big Air World Cup lead after picking up 800 points to sit on 1800, 300 ahead of Japan's Yuri Okubo who could only manage an eighth-place finish on Sunday.
