Wust and Krol delight home fans

Ireen Wust set a new track record as she claimed yet another World Cup gold with victory in the ladies' 1500m on home soil.

The Dutch speed skater wowed the crowd in Heerenveen when she clocked 1m53.00s, beating USA's Brittany Bowe by 0.70s and Russia's Yekaterina Shikhova by 0.73s.
There was more delight for the hosts when Thomas Krol won the men's 1500m, finishing ahead of USA's Joey Mantia and teammate Patrick Roest.
Elsewhere, Japan's Nao Kodaira claimed victory in the women's 500m and set a new track record of her own as she beat Austria's Vanessa Herzog while Bowe finished third, her second podium of the day.
Russia's Pavel Kulizhnikov won the men's 500m from Japan's Tsubasa Hasegawa and Yuma Murakami, while Nana Takagi took victory in the women's mass start from Irene Schouten and Ayana Sato.
And in the men's mass start, Korea's Cheonho Um and Jaewon Chun finished first and second, ahead of Belgium's Bart Swings.
