Camille Serme supports squash bid to make Paris Olympic Games

World No.3 Camille Serme became the first Frenchwoman to win the U.S. Open and Tournament of Champions titles last season in addition to reaching a career-high ranking of No.2 in February - all of which led to her being named the PSA Women’s Player of the Season last month in Dubai.

Serme has also been busy off the court and has taken an active role in promoting Paris’ 2024 Olympic Bid with the French Olympic Committee.

The 28-year-old’s preparations for the new season are well under way and she travelled to Pontefract Squash Club in Yorkshire, England, to train with former World No.1 James Willstrop and his father, renowned coach, Malcolm Willstrop.

Eurosport caught up with the French star to discuss Paris’ Olympic Bid, training with the Willstrops and also got her thoughts on the best-of-three games debate that has been a hot topic in the squash community since last month’s PSA Dubai World Series Finals.

Serme also talks about her most successful season to date, her experience of playing in a men’s tournament during pre-season and her aims for the upcoming season.
