Rea looked uncomfortable on track throughout, but still climbed above Marco Melandri (Ducati) to take the championship lead.
The Northern Irishman grabbed pole position in a record time before coasting to Race One victory, but was off the pace on Sunday as he finished over six seconds adrift.
Rea (69 points) leads Melandri (67) in the standings. Xavi Fores (Ducati) is third (60) with Davies (57) climbing into fourth.
