The Olympic champion heads to the Gold Coast with two titles to defend having scooped 100m breaststroke and 4x100m medley gold in Glasgow four years ago.
The intervening period has also seen Peaty become an Olympic gold medallist at Rio 2016, before going on to defend two world crowns in Budapest and become a leading name in world swimming.
His legacy bid will continue in Australia in April, with this month's trip to Luxembourg seen as one of the last opportunities to test his form ahead of his trip Down Under.
Peaty leads a squad full of youth and experience, with fellow Commonwealth gold medallists James Guy, Hannah Miley and Aimee Willmott joining him at the meet.
Double Olympic medallist Duncan Scott is also part of the team as is Ben Proud, who secured a shock world 50m butterfly gold medal in Budapest last year.
"This meet is an important one for many reasons – it's the first long course competition of the year for our swimmers and will help develop the arena skills to succeed on the international stage," said head coach Bill Furness.
"We have goals in mind for each of our swimmers so will be working to ensure everyone has the chance to work on individual aspects of their race plans."
