He may be just 20 himself but world champion Duncan Scott will be one of the more experienced heads in the ten-strong British squad at the European Short Course Championships later this year.
Scott, alongside Adam Peaty and Ben Proud, will be joined by a number of younger swimmers looking to seal their places in the senior team when the Championships kick off in Copenhagen on December 13.
Fellow Olympians Ross Murdoch and Max Litchfield will also compete in the Danish capital, with Freya Anderson, Charlotte Atkinson, Kathleen Dawson, Emily Large and Jocelyn Ulyett completing the line-up.
Scott defended his 4x200m freestyle relay world title in Budapest in July, 11 months after winning double Olympic silver in Rio, and is confident he can end his 2017 on a high.
"For me it will be the first time representing Great Britain internationally at a short course meet and being selected to represent your country is always an honour," he said.
"Racing in Copenhagen is a perfect opportunity to gain some international short course exposure and another chance to race some of the best in the world."
Tim Jones, team leader and head coach for the European Championships, added: "We have selected a team with a great mix of experience and future potential.
"It will be an excellent opportunity for our next generation to hone their arena skills by working alongside some of our proven senior medallists.
"Whilst the meet is early season, I am sure it will provide some great racing ahead of our benchmark long course meets in 2018."
