The world number one will bring up the total if he can overcome Malek Zaziri on Wednesday to reach the quarter-finals.
"Every milestone is very special, of course. I wish that I make the 700th win in this tournament, obviously," said Djokovic.
"But it's not going to affect too much my preparation for the next match. It's not going to change too much the way I approach the next match or this tournament. Of course I'll be very pleased if it happens here.

"Jaziri told me he had a great off-season and it pays off. He won a couple of matches in Australia and here.
"Let's see what happens. He plays quite different from Robredo. He's standing closer to the line, he has flat shots and better serve. Got to be ready for it."
Djokovic has gone 13 matches unbeaten since the start of the year, including lifting the Australian Open for a sixth time last month.
He returned from a break of three weeks after winning his 11th Grand Slam to complete a 6-1 6-2 win over Tommy Robredo on Monday night.
"I've been spending a lot of time with my wife and my child and, of course, leaving my racket on the side," said Djokovic.
"It's important to balance well and gain that freshness that you need in order to continue playing at a high level and compete in Dubai - and what is coming after Dubai.
"It's a very necessary substance for the tough few months ahead, including the Indian Wells and Miami swing."
Third seed Tomas Berdych was a 6-1 6-4 winner over Joao Sousa.
