BERRETTINI RETIRES! Zverev 7-6 (7), 1-0 Berrettini: Berrettini can't continue and what a shame for the Italian. You suspect that might be his tournament over as well. Berrettini might have lost the first set, but he played some magnificent tennis.

Berrettini is going to give this a go, but this might not be pretty... 40-40 on his serve!

BERRETTINI INJURY! Oh dear! Berrettini was in a battle with Zverev to keep hold of his serve at 40-40 when he put a forehand in the net and now he's receiving some treatment. It looks like it could be an abdomen injury.

ZVEREV 1-0 BERRETTINI* (7-6): A solid start to the second set by Zverev. There was a giant break between the end of the first set and the start of the second as Berrettini was off court.

FIRST SET, ZVEREV! Zverev 7-6 (7) Berrettini: A 79-minute first set! This has been an almighty tussle, but Zverev has the advantage! He claims his THIRD set point in the tie break!

ZVEREV 6-6 BERRETTINI: Tie-break! Drama in that Zverev service game. Berrettini had two set points. He didn't challenge a Zverev serve on one of them that was out and the German holds.

*ZVEREV 5-6 BERRETTINI: Yet more danger for Berrettini on his serve, but the trend continues - Zverev is unable to take advantage and the Italian has secured himself a tie-break at least!

ZVEREV 5-5 BERRETTINI*: Zverev has been very impressive on his serve in this opening set. Berrettini has yet to bring up a break point against the German so far.

*ZVEREV 4-5 BERRETTINI: There was a bizarre opening point in that game where Berrettini bounced the ball BEFORE the net. But he recovers well to hold his serve again.

ZVEREV 4-4 BERRETTINI*: And on we go in this opening set. A love hold for Zverev. The German clinched triple game point at 40-0 with an ace out wide.

*ZVEREV 3-4 BERRETTINI: Another tough service game for Berrettini as he faces a break point, but he saves it once again and the Italian nudges the scoreboard for 3-4.

ZVEREV 3-3 BERRETTINI*: An ace from Zverev on game point to keep this opening set on serve. This has been a very competitive start to this match. Both players fighting hard.

*ZVEREV 2-3 BERRETTINI: An excellent hold of serve. Once again, another half-chance for Zverev at 15-30, but Berrettini comes up with three excellent points to hold.

ZVEREV 2-2 BERRETTINI*: The Italian is attempting some passing shots right now and he was close to making a couple, but that was a mini opportunity for Berrettini to break.

*ZVEREV 1-2 BERRETTINI: Yet more pressure on the Berrettini serve, but the Italian saves a break point with a big serve and then won the next two points to keep hold. A big hold.

ZVEREV 1-1 BERRETTINI*: A clean start by Zverev who found a second serve ace in that game. Of course, the German's second serve is frequently his weakest shot.

*ZVEREV 0-1 BERRETTINI*: A dramatic start to the match as Berrettini faces and saves two break points in his first service game. It already feels like the crowd are engaged in this one.
