*6-2 6-2
GAME! SET! MATCH! SINNER WINS! SINNER 6-2 6-2 HURKACZ With Sinner serving, Hurkacz plays with a little more freedom and rattles off two points to go 30-0 up. He then grows frustrated when a sliced lob goes astray.
Sinner faults with his first serve next, and after a huge rally he advances slowly on his opponent leaves Hurkacz crestfallen and considering his existence, and wins the next to go 40-30 up. Match point.
And that's it! Hurkacz hurtles around the court to reach a return, and he sends it out. A comprehensive victory. Sinner was impressive enough, but his opponent offered relatively little by way of resistance.
5-2*
SINNER 6-2 5-2 HURKACZ Sinner moves 30-0 up, then 40 up, and it looks as if Hurkacz is considering a retirement, and he is quickly broken.
*4-2
SINNER 6-2 4-2 HURKACZ An easy one for Sinner.
3-2*
SINNER 6-2 3-2 HURKACZ A failed appeal leaves Hurkacz trailing 30-15 on his service game, but he rallies to 30-30, and then 40-30 when Sinner hoiks a stretching return too long. Sinner then advances on his opponent and clatters a return hard and away from Hurkacz and moves the game onto deuce, but Sinner can't resist.
*3-1
SINNER 6-2 3-1 HURKACZ Hurkacz comes to the net and guides an effort away from Sinner to take the first point in a psychologically important game. Sinner hits back immediately, and then moves into a 30-15 lead with his fifth ace of the match so far (to his opponent's four). Some more aggression from Hurkacz moves the score to 30-30.
Hurkacz is then forced further and further back until his return is not able to reach his opponent's side. 40-30 in Sinner's favour, and then back to an advantage, only for another error to cede his advantage.
An extended rally gives Sinner another advantage the Pole stretched a little at the end and now appears to be limping on his left foot, but he recovers in the next point with a backhand down the line. We're onto third deuce.
Sinner then has another advantage as the game moves into its ninth minute, mirroring the lengthy four frame we had in the first set, and Sinner takes it with his serve.
2-1*
SINNER 6-2 2-1 HURKACZ Sinner is 40-15 as Hurkacz again overcooks part of a rally. Two break points now. The first serve is s fault. The second isn't anything special, and the pair settle into a rally with yet another wayward offering form Hurkacz.
*1-1
SINNER 6-2 1-1 HURKACZ It's now Sinner's turn to see if he can keep up his momentum. He pushes through to 40-30 after some iffy play mid-game, only to wallop one into the net. We're onto deuce, and Hurkacz is presented with a break point.
Sinner's serve - which has been poor - is another fault. The second makes Hurkacz stretch but isn't too fiendish, and the returning player sends one too long.
Sinner holds.
0-1*
SINNER 6-2 0-1 HURKACZ He needs a good start here, and is 40-0 up against Sinner. However, two errors later and it's now 40-30, and perhaps the doubt will start to creep in. No, Sinner sends one too long and it's a hold.
*6-2
SINNER 6-2 HURKACZ. The Italian is serving for the second set. He produces a fault and with a tame second set Hurkacz brings things to 40-15, not in his favour.
He has two more set points to close this one out, and his first serve clips the net. Another fault. He strikes the net again.
He has one more set point to close this one out, he sends this into the net. His second service is good enough, but now he sends one long. We're onto deuce.
Sinner now has advantage after an error from his opponent, and again he sends down a fault. only for Hurkacz to overhit his return and that's the first set for the replacement.
5-2*
SINNER 5-2 HURKACZ The Pole holds his nerve and now has to try to break his opponent for the first time in the match.
*5-1
SINNER 5-1 HURKACZ Sinner is serving now and to hold here should make him almost certain for the first set. A loooooong rally sees Hurkacz lose when he loops the ball up and over Sinner, only to see it out, and Sinner is 30-15 ahead, and he promptly wraps it up.
4-1*
SINNER 4-1 HURKACZ We're onto deuce here and Sinner is on the verge of breaking his opponent in more ways than one. He hits the net, and it's advantage Sinner. Sinner has his opponent moving around the court, advances to the net, and calmly sends the ball past his rival. It's *just* in.
*3-1
SINNER 3-1 HURKACZ Hurkacz wins the first point of the fourth game. Sinner then lashes a shot across Hurkacz that is past him before he has much chance to react. It's 40-30 after Sinner is forced onto the back foot and returns into the net, and there's another error to set us at deuce.
Hurkacz has the lead and a chance to break back automatically, but Sinner holds on for his opponent ot make an error, only for Sinner to send one too long.
After a few exchanges, Hurkacz is at advantage and Sinner on his second serve, but the Italian holds, and then moves onto an advantage of his own and finally wins out.
2-1*
SINNER 2-1 HURKACZ Now the Italian has his rhythm, and he moves onto the front foot to move onto 30-0 and close to a break point. Hurkacz pulls one back before scooping one out of bounds, and he is broken!
*1-1
SINNER 1-1 HURKACZ Sinner is 30-0 up, and - vitally - is wearing a blue cap. Hurkacz takes advantage of two seconds serves straight down the middle and levels at 30-30. Hurkacz then reaches a decent save from Sinner and sends him a round the court to earn a break point.
The Pole sends one long and we're at deuce now, and he then moves onto advantage and, eventually, holds.
0-1*
SINNER 0-1 HURKACZ Hurkacz is serving from the open and moves into a 30-0 lead, and holds to take the lead.

The players are facing off ready for the toss.
19:55
Good old social media.
19:50
Sinner looks perfectly well as he warms up. He should be used to the conditions as he has been attending as a back-up for most of the week.
19:45
If Sinner wins this game, he's in with a chance of qualifying. He's the number nine seed but he's had plenty of experience so far in his brief career.
