GAME, SET AND MATCH! – TSITSIPAS 4-6 4-6 RUBLEV. It’s a Greek tragedy for Stefanos as Rublev recovers from a nervy double fault to serve out the match and claim a deserved straight sets victory over the 2019 champion.

TSITSIPAS 4-6 4-5 RUBLEV. Serve-out question posed. Stef rattles through a resounding love hold and it’s over to Rublev now. How’s your nerve, Andrey?
TSITSIPAS 4-6 3-5 RUBLEV. Almost there. Rublev has barely looked flustered on serve today. He’s been hugely impressive and is one game from victory.

TSITSIPAS 4-6 3-4 RUBLEV. Tsitsipas needs Greek-God mode here. He needs a few more levels to get to that but this was much more like it as he finds the first serve and eases to a hold to 15 to stay in touch.
TSITSIPAS 4-6 2-4 RUBLEV. Andrey backs up the break with a strong hold from deuce. That finish line is creeping up on his horizon. Can Stef do anything at all to rewrite the script?

BREAK! - TSITSIPAS 4-6 2-3 RUBLEV. The Russian’s aggression continues to pay off in the pacy conditions and he again gets his reward with the first break of this set.
TSITSIPAS 4-6 2-2 RUBLEV. Close – but no cigar for Tsitsipas. He poses a few questions at deuce but more heavy hitting from the Russian’s forehand and an eighth ace sees Andrey move level once more.
TSITSIPAS 4-6 2-1 RUBLEV. It takes another lengthy service game but Stef comes through unscathed from deuce once again to nudge the board.
TSITSIPAS 4-6 1-1 RUBLEV. A beast of a forehand follows a backhand pass up the line as Rublev once again keeps Tsitsipas at arm’s length to level matters.

TSITSIPAS 4-6 1-0 RUBLEV. A fist pump from Stef as he avoids a body blow at the start of Set 2 to scramble through from deuce. Now then, can he shift some momentum his way?

SET! - TSITSIPAS 4-6 RUBLEV. That’s magnificent from Rublev. He really does have his serving mojo flowing and wastes little time in seeing out the opener in 43 minutes courtesy of a sixth ace.
TSITSIPAS 4-5 RUBLEV. After the attritional early sparring there has been a blur of holds. It’s one apiece in double-quick fashion and over to Rublev to serve for the set.
TSITSIPAS 3-4 RUBLEV. That was much-needed. Tsitsipas drops the first point on serve but rattles off four in a row to stay in touch. That was his best service game of the match by some distance. Has he finally settled in to the task?
TSITSIPAS 2-4 RUBLEV. Too good. A wide ace concludes a rapid love hold as Rublev consolidates in style.

BREAK! – TSITSIPAS 2-3 RUBLEV. This time Rublev does get his reward! The No.5 seed scorches a brilliant forehand winner and then forces a wayward backhand from his opponent to snare two break points. Stef saves one with a big first serve, but can’t wriggle free on the second as he fizzes long.
