TIE BREAK LATEST
Stefanos drops the first point of the breaker with an avoidable error but reels off five in a row to lead 5-1 at the change of ends.
TSITSIPAS 6-3 6-6 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. Resilient work from Stef. He survives from 15-30, leaning on the big forehand and wide serve to force the breaker.
TSITSIPAS 6-3 5-6 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. It’s far from routine but ADF edges over the line to guarantee the minimum of a tie break. He sees a 30-0 lead evaporate and needs to hit clutch mode from deuce before releasing all of his tensions with some hefty arm pumps that delight the crowd. Now, can he find his A-game on the return to break at the death and force a decider?

BREAK! – TSITSIPAS 6-3 5-5 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. Unbelievable! The Spanish underdog refuses to close the book on this tournament just yet! He uses all of the energy from the crowd to snare a couple of break back points. Stef saves one with a lovely, angled volley at the net but can’t defend the second as the world No.46 drive volleys his way back into the match.

BREAK! – TSITSIPAS 6-3 5-4 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. That could be it! ADF shows brilliant spirit to fend off two break points but can’t get the job done despite having game point from deuce. Tsitisipas earns a third opportunity and a thumping crosscourt forehand licks the line to force and error and put him on the verge of back-to-back titles. He will now serve for the championship.
TSITSIPAS 6-3 4-4 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. The warning signs are there for Stef as a superb return sees ADF up the ante at 30-30. The Greek responds with real focus and gets out of dodge with another forehand-acrobatic overhead combo.
TSITSIPAS 6-3 3-4 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. It’s bold tennis from the Spaniard and he deserves the bit of fortune that sees him wriggle free from 15-30. It’s a pure ‘sorry, not sorry moment’ but he won’t care as he nudges the board in his favour once more.
TSITSIPAS 6-3 3-3 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. Stef manages to get the forehand back into play and there’s no doubt that shot is the key to his hopes of success. He stops the mini rot with a convincing hold and we are finely poised heading into the business end of Set 2.
TSITSIPAS 6-3 2-3 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. Love hold! It’s three games in a row as ADF maintains the momentum. Stef looked to be cruising but now has a scrap on his hands.

BREAK! – TSITSIPAS 6-3 2-2 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. The support appears to do the trick! Suddenly the man who downed Djokovic is back on court. He attacks the Tsitsipas backhand and gets his reward. The Greek tries to hang tough at 15-40 but gets caught in his left-hand corner and ends up ballooning a shank off court. All square!
TSITSIPAS 6-3 2-1 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. Huge cheers of ‘Foki, Foki, Foki’ from the crowd as the Spanish underdog gets on the board. The spectators want to see more of a contest out there and need the 22-year-old to rekindle some belief to have any chance of doing so.
TSITSIPAS 6-3 2-0 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. Too good. It’s hard to see a any way back for ADF at this juncture. Tsitsipas appears to have the winning tactics at present as he easily consolidates to 15.

BREAK! – TSITSIPAS 6-3 1-0 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. It’s looking bleak for ADF. He needed to reset and get off to a strong start in Set 2 – but it proves to be the opposite. He can’t find enough rhythm and with more errors leaking off both flanks, he coughs up an easy break to 15.

BREAK! – TSITSIPAS 5-3 DAVIDOVICH FOKINA. That’s a significant break and could cost ADF the set. He attacks the Greek’s backhand repeatedly at 30-30 but overcooks long to cough up the break point. The Spaniard needs to lock in from there but another error follows all too quickly and Stef will now serve for the opener.
