What an extraordinary result, and it's a quite incredible win for Djokovic, who downs Federer and ensures that neither of the top two seeds will be present in the final of a Grand Slam for the first time since the Serb won the Australian Open, beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final! Djokovic will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Britain's Andy Murray and David Ferrer of Spain which will take place tomorrow from 08:30 UK time!

FEDERER 6-7 5-7 4-6 - GAME, SET AND MATCH - Djokovic hammers two forehands cross court for 30-15, and a humongous serve outwide gives him two match points! The crowd are going crazy, and twice the Serb has to stop to catch his breath... the atmosphere is incredible in the Rod Laver. Djokovic plants a tame forehand into the net to squander the first, and he goes long to waste the second. The Serb grabs another with an ace outwide, and finally he does it - Djokovic is through, Federer is out!

FEDERER 6-7 5-7 4-5 - BREAK - Incredible stuff! Djokovic races to 0-40 with two belligerent forehands which throw Federer off guard, and a present from the Swiss who miscues a backhand. Federer retrieves the first two break points with well-worked rallies to outwit his opponent, but a tame backhand into the net hands Djokovic another break! All the Serb has to do now is hold serve for a place in the final... can he do it?

FEDERER 6-7 5-7 4-4 - BREAK - Another epic rally is won by Djokovic at 15-15 as Federer makes a real hash of a backhand which he slices long, and the Serb clenches his fist in delight. But the Swiss drills a forehand cross court which clips the line, and that was a scorcher! Djokovic is utterly unerring as he mullers two forehands down the line from in court to follow up big first serves, only to head back to deuce with a scuffed forehand, and two sublime rallies give Federer the break back!
-
FEDERER 6-7 5-7 3-4 - Federer storms into a 40-0 lead on serve with three crisp first serves to pin Djokovic firmly back behind the baseline and, despite the Serb clattering a forehand winner cross court, that is the only point he can muster as the Swiss holds. The pressure remains firmly on Djokovic to hold his composure on serve now, and he is going to have to work very hard indeed.
-
FEDERER 6-7 5-7 2-4 - Djokovic is forced to work tirelessly as he battles his way to 40-15, but goes wide with a forehand down the line as Federer gets his reward for some dogged defensive play at the back of the court. The number three seed still manages to hold, however, as he lashes a forehand cross court to beat Federer's despairing lunge and he restores his two-game cushion!

FEDERER 6-7 5-7 2-3 - Federer has a steely look of determination as he senses that he must lift his level once more to challenge Djokovic, who is playing some inspired tennis on Laver right now! The Swiss finds his groove with his forehand and belts two cross court for winners to thwart his opponent, and he holds to narrow the deficit once more. Can he challenge the Serb's serve now?
-
FEDERER 6-7 5-7 1-3 - Djokovic consolidates his break of serve with a determined service hold to 30, and Federer is looking despondent as he goes over to his chair to use the towel. The Swiss has to hold his serve now and try to break Djokovic, but time is fast running out for the world number two!

Federer miscues a backhand once more as it balloons wide and he gifts the Serb a break point, and he ruthlessly capitalises to seal what could prove to be the crucial break of serve! Federer is in big, big trouble now!
-
FEDERER 6-7 5-7 1-1 - It's another truly epic game as Djokovic is forced to battle extremely hard for every single point in an extended deuce, and Federer saves three game points as he refuses to let his opponent off the hook. Djokovic is handed another as Federer goes wide with a sliced backhand, but the Swiss makes amends with a majestic backhand cross-court pass! A near-replica gives him a break point, and he finally takes it to clinch an incredible game!
-
FEDERER 6-7 5-7 1-0 - Again it is Federer who serves first as he establishes himself in the third set with a service hold to 15, and the Swiss looks incredibly focused as he throws away the balls and immediately walks over to his position ready to return. This really is last-chance saloon for the world number two - what can he do on Djokovic's serve now?
