Jelena Ostapenko survives scare to battle through

French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko dropped the second set but maintained her composure to come through 6-3 3-6 6-4 against China's world number 100 Duan Yingying in the second round.

In a match that produced a whopping 13 breaks of serve, the seventh seed from Latvia showed all her fighting qualities to emerge by winning the final two games of the final set on Margaret Court Arena.
"She was hitting the ball really hard," said Ostapenko. "I'm so happy I could win.
"Everyone wants to beat you when you've won a Grand Slam so I'll just keep trying my best."
Ostapenko faces Mona Barthel of Germany or Estonia's Anett Kontaveit for a last-16 place.
