GOOD MORNING The first grand slam of 2022 is reaching it's climax and we've got live coverage of the women's singles final coming up between Ash Barty and Danielle Collins. Both players breezed through their last four matches - who will come away with the trophy? We'll find out over the next few hours, with the pair due on court at about 8.30

Ash Barty collects the trophy to a standing ovation. "Thank you everyone. I have to say congratulations to Danielle and your team. It's been an amazing fortnight for you. I know you'll be fighting to many more of these in the future."

Runner-up Danielle Collins: "I really admire you [Barty] as a player. To have gotten this far has been incredible. It's time to celebrate a big night for Ash. Thanks for everybody who came in support of us."

The trophy presentation is about to begin and this is going to get emotional. Evonne Goolagong is brought on to present the trophies!

Spare a thought for Danielle Collins. She perhaps did not get going until the second set, but when she did, she played some magnificent tennis, as she did all tournament. Her day will surely come

That was some comeback from Barty. She was 5-1 down in the second set, but then reeled off four games in a row to level before putting in a stunning tie-break, showing no signs of nerves whatsoever, to land a third grand slam title. What a moment for the world number one!

She has done it! And what a way to win it, ripping a trademark cross court forehand passed Collins, who had come to net. Ash Barty becomes the first Australian women to win the singles title since 1978.

Barty makes it 6-2 as Collins misfires on the forehand. One point to go...

Barty holds a 5-1 lead at the change of ends in the tie-break with a double break of serve. She is two points away from the title!
