Serena Williams delighted tennis fans on Saturday, and not just because she cruised into the fourth round of the Australian Open after beating Dayana Yastremska.

Williams saw off the Ukranian teenager with ease, beating her 6-2, 6-1, in a match that left Yastremska somewhat emotional.

Luckily, the seven-times Australian Open winner was on hand to console the 18-year-old as she became tearful after the match, telling her: “You did amazing, you’re so young…don’t cry!”
