TSONGA 6-3 6-2 6-2 - WINNER! Tsonga through in comfort! He finishes with a lucky bounce off the net, but there was nothing lucky about his win - by some measure the better player on the day. A huge celebration - that can only mean that he is through to face Florent Serra orIgor Andreev in the next round.

TSONGA 6-3 6-2 4-1 - BREAK! The crowd delighted by a beautifully-controlled Tsonga volley. Hajek still in control on his service until that point, but suddenly the scores are back to 30-30. Deuce then follows, and despite Hajek coming within a point of the game on three occasions, he cannot close it out. Break point for Tsonga with a fluke - and he can, with a vicious forehand pass.
TSONGA 6-4 6-2 1-0 - BREAK! Another break for Tsonga right away - and as the pair return to their chairs, it sparks that most French of Roland Garros traditions - the Mexican wave.
TSONGA 6-4 6-2 - SET! A shake of the head from Hajek, who sees a 15-30 lead disappear as he misses out on a realistic winner chance. Tsonga rattles on towards game point, which he takes when Hajek lets another chance to take a point go begging. Tsonga with a foot in round two.
TSONGA 6-3 4-1 - BREAK! It's a double for Tsonga as the reality of Hajek's task appears to be overwhelming him. Tsonga's hit four aces without reply, won 20 points to 8 in the second set - with 10 winners and a single unforced error, Tsonga looking very strong indeed.
TSONGA 6-3 2-1 - BREAK! Early break for Tsonga once more! The Frenchman's groundstrokes looking impressive and he already has 22 winners to his name. Hajek struggling now.
TSONGA 6-3 - SET! He has done this the hard way. Hajek puts together some impressive points but misses out on his break point. Tsonga, who overall has fared better in the Roland Garros wind, gets over the line in the end.
TSONGA 5-2 - The Frenchman more or less in control, looking to close out the first set as Hajek's game appears to be just short of what's required to compete with Tsonga.
TSONGA 3-1 - BREAK! Two break points for the Frenchman here as he starts to assert himself. Hajek saves the first with a strong passing shot which Tsonga cannot control - but when he misses long the seeded player completes the break.
TSONGA 2-1 - Tsonga still with his nose in front on serve, but he's not having it his own way whatsoever. Hajek is playing a sensible, percentage game to keep with the favourite.
TSONGA 1-0 - A hold for Tsonga given generous applause by his home crowd, but it wasn't easy. The wind has picked up and the conditions are a little tougher than this morning's glorious sunshine. Several errors and winners from both players in the opening game.
TSONGA 0-0 - Starting now on Court Philippe Chatrier is Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, up against Jan Hajek of the Czech Republic. And if you want to watch as well as follow our text commentary, this game is LIVE on British Eurosport (Sky 410/412, Virgin Media 521)
