Novak Djokovic breezed into the French Open fourth round with a comprehensive victory over Britain’s Aljaz Bedene.
The Serbian world No 1 lost only eight games - in a 6-2 6-3 6-3 win - as he set up a clash with Roberto Bautista Agut.
His path to the final has also got easier after the withdrawal of home favourite Jo-Wilfried Tsonga earlier in the day with a groin injury.
The match only started at 7.30pm local time due to rain delays earlier in the day so rain Djokovic faced a race against time to finish the match.
And he got off to a flyer, winning the first set in 37 minutes.
It did not look good for Bedene, who switched his nationality to Britain from Slovenia last year after spending seven years living in the UK.
The 26-year-old who was looking for a first win over a top-10 opponent managed to break serve at 2-2 in the third set but in increasingly dark conditions Djokovic wrapped up victory at 9.30pm.
