John Isner sent Great Britain's Kyle Edmund crashing out of the French Open in three straight sets on Wednesday to seal his place in the fourth round.
The American 15th seed outclassed Edmund to come through 6-4 6-4 6-4.
While the 21-year-old Brit battled hard against Isner, it was a much more demanding game compared to his first-round match against Georgia's Nikoloz Basilashvili.
Though Edmund has given notable performances in previous competitions - such as against David Goffin in November's Davis Cup - and had his chances in this match with an opportunity to break in the sixth game of the second set, he could not compete with the big serve of his 31-year-old opponent.
Isner will now take on Russian Teymuraz Gabashvili in the third round.
