Jack Sock and Bethany Mattek-Sands roared back in a super tie-break to win gold in the mixed doubles in an all-American affair.

The duo overturned a 6-3 deficit in the decisive tie-break to come through 6-7(3) 6-1 10-7 against Venus Williams and Rajeev Ram.

Williams was bidding for a record fifth gold in the Olympic tennis, but stays joint-top with sister Serena on four titles.
