GAME, SET AND MATCH! – FEDERER 6-2 2-6 7-6 6-2 CILIC. It’s all over! Federer once again gets the better of Cilic as he breaks once more to march into round four. It was a close contest at times but the Swiss came out on top when it really mattered and took the honours on his second match point after two hours and 35 minutes.
FEDERER 6-2 2-6 7-6 5-2 CILIC. The Swiss is one game from victory. He bewitches with a short slice winner and continues to serve brilliantly. It’s a rapid love hold and Chila has surely got a sinking feeling now.
FEDERER 6-2 2-6 7-6 4-2 CILIC. Marin finds the first serve at an important point. A double break there and it would have been curtains. Not that it ever looked likely. He eases through for the loss of one point but needs to do much more on the return game if he’s to turn the tide now.

FEDERER 6-2 2-6 7-6 4-1 CILIC. The 20-time major winner consolidates with a game to 15 and that scoreboard will look very nice right now as he walks to his chair.

BREAK! - FEDERER 6-2 2-6 7-6 3-1 CILIC. Federer gets the breakthrough! Cilic fights hard to level from 0-30 but then rues his luck as a net cord allows Federer to take charge and volley a winner to earn break point. From there, the Swiss is a spectator as Cilic double faults at the worst possible moment to hand the initiative to the No.8 seed.
FEDERER 6-2 2-6 7-6 2-1 CILIC. That’s not bad either. Federer has been just as efficient on his serve and chalks up another perfect game. All square with few rallies to capture the imagination in the early stages of this set.
FEDERER 6-2 2-6 7-6 1-1 CILIC. Marin was firing on all cylinders before the tie break and seems to be hitting the right notes after it. He powers to a love hold with more supreme serving but will be ruing the blip in the TB when FedEx pounced.
FEDERER 6-2 2-6 7-6 1-0 CILIC. Federer anxiously looks to his right as a sizzling backhand return just misses the baseline at deuce. Cilic had battled back from 40-15 down but couldn’t earn the BP and ultimately dragged another backhand wide to allow his opponent to kick off Set 4 on the front foot.
Over on Court Suzanne-Lenglen, Novak Djokovic eased past Pablo Cuevas in straight sets.

FEDERER 6-2 2-6 6-6 CILIC. Love hold? Of course. Into a tie break we go. Something will have to give now!

FEDERER 6-2 2-6 5-6 CILIC. Guess what? Another love hold? Yep, you guessed it! This time Cilic works a bit harder for it, taking one point with a quite sensational stun volley at the net to bamboozle his opponent and earn a roar of delight from the crowd.
FEDERER 6-2 2-6 5-5 CILIC. Federer refuses to be upstaged and clocks up his second straight love hold. That’s four in a row in total between them. Are we heading for a tie break or will one of these experienced gents strike late in the day to steal the set?
FEDERER 6-2 2-6 4-5 CILIC. It’s another masterclass in big serving as Cilic roars to another love hold. That’s pretty impressive given the stakes at this stage. Federer will now serve to stay in the set.
