Game, set, match Nadal! Norrie put up a good fight, he played some excellent stuff, but Nadal was simply too good in the end and the 13-times Roland Garros champion moves into the second week!

That's so harsh on Norrie. The Brit played some remarkable stuff in that game, had 0-30, but Nadal just upped his level and responded with some incredible winners. Not fair.

As referenced in the first set, Norrie was not happy with the pace of the match as Nadal refused to return a serve a couple times due to not being ready, but the umpire defended the Spaniard.

A love hold from Nadal. The Spaniard is playing some fantastic stuff here and is edging closer and closer to a place in the second week of Roland Garros. He's been there a few times before...

It looks like Norrie might try a few different things in this third set. He might as well. The Brit came to the net early a couple times in that service game and it worked quite well as he holds.

Good start to the third set by Nadal who is on the scoreboard nice and early. Norrie isn't playing badly at all. In fact, he has shown he can live with Nadal, but the Spaniard's forehand is doing a lot of damage.

Second set, Nadal! Incredible! What a way to take the set as Nadal passes Norrie from the back of the court with a ripper of a backhand from the baseline! That was just too good from the number three seed.

All of a sudden, Nadal moves to within one game of clinching the second set. It was a similar story in the opening set when the 13-times Roland Garros winner raised his level when it mattered.

Nadal breaks! Ah that's just too good from the Spaniard. He had Norrie on strings for some points in that game, with drop shots and lobs. So good from Nadal who leads in this second set for the first time.

Some fantastic stuff from both players in this second set, but it's now Nadal who is rising. A wonderful forehand, cross-court winner from the Spaniard on game point.

Fourth break in a row! Just as happened two games ago, Norrie is unable to consolidate the break, plays a couple sloppy points and that's enough for Nadal to secure the break back!
