Muguruza was up a double break in the deciding set, but in the end the former Roland Garros winner handed it on a plate to Collins who took the opportunity that was presented to her. A double fault brought up two match points and Collins claimed the first one. It's the American who moves into the last 16!

This match has swung back towards Collins who has won the last three games, including two breaks of serve! Muguruza has lost all fizz in her game and that is allowing Collins to be more aggressive, and it's an opportunity she has taken.

Definitely not over yet. After a real tussle in the fourth game of the third set, Collins comes out with the break to at least give her a foothold in this match again. Muguruza looks to have lost her focus a little bit. A topsy turvy encounter, this.

Four straight games from Muguruza and she has the double break in this deciding set. Collins puts a forehand in the net on break point and you wonder if that might be that for the American. Muguruza accelerating towards the finishing line.

For the third straight set, Collins is broken in her first service game. The American was just a little short in some of her groundstrokes and that allowed Muguruza to step in from the baseline and be more aggresive. You can't really do that against the Spaniard.

Muguruza takes the second set in just 30 minutes to turn this contest around. Some strong serving from the former champion in that set and in the final game. Collins isn't out of this yet, though. Despite the scoreboard in that set, the American was still competitive.

A disaster of a service game from Collins and Muguruza has the double break in the second set. The American served a double fault at 0-30 and then threw in an unforced error at 15-40 and this set is likely gone. Muguruza is in her groove.

An early break at the start of the second set as Muguruza responds well to losing the first set. Of course, this is how the match started, so the Spaniard will need to keep up the intensity if she is to press home this advantage she now holds.

The former Roland Garros champion is in some trouble as Collins takes the first set! A lame forehand into the net from Muguruza handed Collins a couple break points, the first one was saved, but then the Spaniard was broken down at the back of the court and sent a ball long beyond the baseline. Collins screams 'COME ON!'

Some of the hitting from both these players from the back of the court in this first set has been astonishing. Collins has really found her footing in the contest after a shaky start and the American is giving as good as she's getting. Feels like we're destined for a tie break to settle this first set...

Back on serve in this opening set. Collins pounced on a couple of mid-court shots from Muguruza and used that to bring some of her own aggression. The American is working very hard to absorb Muguruza's power, but it's starting to work.

After 90 minutes off court, we are back up and running under the roof on Philippe Chatrier and Collins and Muguruza have picked up where they left off in terms of their intensity. Muguruza consolidates the early break, but Collins is competitive.

The rain is coming down very heavily at Roland Garros now and the umpire has suspended play. Muruguza is a game up and 15-0 up. Bad weather in Paris. Goodness knows how long the players will be off court, but there will be no play for the time being.
