GAME, SET AND MATCH! – GAUFF 6-7 3-6 KREJCIKOVA. It’s all over! Barbora Krejcikova finally claims victory on her SIXTH match point as she serves out to love and books her place in the semi finals of the French Open. It was a topsy-turvy one-hour and 50-minute tussle with teenager, Coco Gauff. The match had two hugely contrasting sets as a tense and closely-fought opener that Gauff should have won was followed by a one-sided one that went the way of the Czech despite the 17-year-old's late flurry.

GAUFF 6-7 3-5 KREJCIKOVA. The Gauff rollercoaster goes through more peaks and troughs as she saves another two match points to somehow survive from deuce. It’s a HUGE game for Barbora next after seeing five MPs wiped away. She needs to regain her composure and see it out before it gets really messy for her.

BREAK! – GAUFF 6-7 2-5 KREJCIKOVA. What a collapse from Barbora. She blows three match points in a row, missing on the last one with a backhand when most of the court was open. Gauff senses her opponent tightening up and reels off a couple of backhands of her own to stay alive a little longer.
GAUFF 6-7 1-5 KREJCIKOVA. It looks bleak when Gauff flashes a drive volley long for 30-30. The American finally finds some form though and outlasts her opponent in an excellent rally before landing a wide ace to avoid a bagel.
GAUFF 6-7 0-5 KREJCIKOVA. The spotlight is firmly upon Gauff’s implosion but credit to Krejcikova. She weathered a storm in the opener and has quietly gone about her business in this second set. An eight double fault can’t stop her charge as she sweeps an elegant backhand up the line to move within a game of the semi finals.

BREAK! – GAUFF 6-7 0-4 KREJCIKOVA. It is error upon error from Gauff. She growls in frustration as another shot slaps the net to gift Barbora triple break point. The Czech doesn’t have to do much to convert as a double fault hands her the double break. Coco responds by smashing her racket into the floor.
GAUFF 6-7 0-3 KREJCIKOVA. A trio of unforced errors take Gauff beyond the 30 mark and they help the world No.33 consolidate to love with real ease. Coco needs to dig deep here or this will be over before she knows it.

BREAK! – GAUFF 6-7 0-2 KREJCIKOVA. It’s beginning to unravel for the teenager. A double fault at 40-15 is the catalyst for a mini collapse. A loopy forehand drops quite a way long of the baseline and it’s the Czech who takes charge.
GAUFF 6-7 0-1 KREJCIKOVA. Could it be Barbora’s day? She fends off more break points and manages to evade Gauff’s attack once more to open Set 2 on the front foot. She has a set-lead and that scoreboard advantage. Gauff will do well to reset and keep a clear mind.

SET! - GAUFF 6-7 KREJCIKOVA. Gauff will be devastated. She loses the tie break 8-6 after blowing five set points. It was an intriguing and entertaining 70-minute opener that was somewhat plagued by anxious, scrappy moments. Krejcikova just about handled the nerves better and hit a purple patch at 6-4 down in the breaker to somehow take charge.

TB LATEST: It’s 3-3 at the change of ends as both players shred their own nerves with some patchy tennis. Barbora was 2-0 up and then had a forehand on a platter at 3-2 but dumped it into the net from close in after an untimely shout from the crowd.
GAUFF 6-6 KREJCIKOVA. Once again Gauff can’t make it count! The 17-year-old misfires on several opportunities as Krejcikova has major issues with her ball toss. It’s a continual theme in the game. Somehow the Czech saves two more set points (three in total) and wriggles her way into a tie break. Only Gauff will know how she isn’t a set up right now.
GAUFF 6-5 KREJCIKOVA. The crowd offer cheers of support to the tightening Gauff and she responds with some wonderful work. A brilliant forehand winner on the run tees up game point that she gobbles up with a powerhouse first serve. Now, can she crank up the heat or are we heading into a tie break?
GAUFF 5-5 KREJCIKOVA. Reprieve secured. Krejcikova breezes through a love hold to back up the break and level. She has the momentum at a crucial juncture in the set.

BREAK! – GAUFF 5-4 KREJCIKOVA. A pair of aces earn Gauff a set point but it’s not the winning hand she was hoping for. A long forehand and a double fault offer the world No.33 a lifeline and she doesn’t have to do too much to convert as a wobbling Gauff drags a tight backhand low into the net.

BREAK! – GAUFF 5-3 KREJCIKOVA. That’s huge! Gauff rakes a beastly crosscourt forehand to draw the error and break after a double fault allowed her to make deuce and take advantage of the Czech’s sudden dip. Barbora had been serving so well on key points up until that moment. Will it cost her the set?
